eSIS proxing settings
eSIS proxy settings for workstations at all
NWRESD supported school districts.
Here's what needs to be done:
Internet Explorer 6.x
Start Internet Explorer 6.x:
Open up Tools, Internet Options, Connections tab, LAN Settings.
If the very top box, "Automatically detect settings" is check marked, call us to verify that the proxy server for your district is configured correctly. Do not change any of the settings on the workstation.
If the second from top box, "use automatic configuration script" is check marked, call us to verify that the proxy server for your district is configured correctly. Do not change any of the settings on the workstation.
If the third box, "Use a proxy server for your LAN" is check marked, click the advanced button to the right of it. At the bottom there is a field marked "Exceptions". There should be an entry in this field marked *.nwpartnership.org. If there is already an entry in this field, you may add a comma "," after the entry, and add in the "*.nwpartnership.org" after the last entry.
Examples:
*.nwpartnership.org
or
*.astoria.k12.or.us,*.nwresd.k12.or.us,*.nwpartnership.org
If you make any changes to this field, click okay, and shut down IE. Restart IE, and check that eSIS connectivity works correctly and that the connection is at least as fast and responsive as it was before the changes. If any problems are apparent, reverse your changes, and restart IE and check again.
NOTE! These changes may be erased the next time you reboot your computer. If they are, please contact your local network administrator and have them make the changes permanent for your entire school district.
